Dorothy and George Gott Scholarship

The Dorothy and George Gott scholarship was established in 2013 by Mr. George Gott. Mr. Gott has a passion for poetry and is always grateful for the chance to share his work with the campus community, hoping to be an inspiration to other young writers. He is a professor emeritus at UW-Superior and writes four to five poems a day. He has written over 12,000 poems throughout his career and published over 800 of them worldwide in renowned literary magazines, journals and other publications. Mr. Gott spent over 36 years teaching at UW-Superior and credits the campus and the City of Superior for the growth of his career.

Scholarship criteria: For a sophomore, junior, or senior student who is majoring or minoring in English, in good academic standing, and has a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
