Fisher Family and Friends

The Janis K. Fisher Scholarship Fund was established by Loretta V. Fisher in memory of her daughter, Janis, who passed away in 1973. Loretta was a life-long Superior resident who graduated from Central High School and Bartley Business School. She was employed as a secretary in the Duluth/Superior area and the UW-Superior Student Affairs Office, before retiring in 1985. Loretta was very active in the community and volunteer work. She was a member of Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court 1190, Women of Moose Lodge 606, Superior Elks Lodge 403, St. Francis volunteers, the UW-Superior Alumni Association, and the National Chapter of AARP. The scholarship continues to be supported by family and friends.
