John Hennessy Scholarship

John A. Hennessy is a 1950 alum of UW-Superior. After graduating he briefly taught at nearby schools until he was drafted in 1951 to serve in the Korean War. After two years of service he was honorably discharged and began a long career in finances and banking. Mr. Hennessy was employed at various financial corporations and banks in Wisconsin and surrounding states. In 1992 he organized and chartered the American National Bank. He served as its president and CEO until 1998, then as chairman and a director until he retired in 2006.
