Maurice and Roberta Brown

Maurice and Roberta Brown

The Maurice Brown scholarship was established by Maurice’s wife, Roberta, in 1987 when Maurice passed away. Roberta, an alumnus of UW-Superior, graduated from the university in 1969 with a degree in library science. So, when the option to start a scholarship in honor of her late husband was presented, UW-Superior was a clear choice. Maurice was dearly missed by the university after his passing, and he had impacted many people’s lives with his position as treasurer of the UW-Superior Foundation.
