Roderic & Joyce Campbell Business Scholarship

Formerly known as the Bruce M. and Myra H. Campbell Scholarship in honor of Roderic Campbell’s parents, the award was later renamed the Roderic & Joyce Campbell Business Scholarship. Roderick Campbell served on the UW-Superior Foundation Board of Directors for over 30 years, and made many contributions to both the campus and the Foundation. Mr. Campbell was the owner of Campbell Lumber and Supply in Superior, a family business. As the slogan says, the locally owned and managed business and its employees “Do it Best”. An emeritus director, his passion was always to get support for scholarships to help students. He was affectionately known as “Rod” by many, was a WWII veteran having earned a Bronze Star Medal and two Purple Hearts, and was deeply involved in the Superior, WI area. Mr. Campbell passed away in 2018, but his scholarship lives on through the Foundation and family and friends.
