Maawanji'idiwin Honor Scholarship

For a student that has unmet financial need in an academic year, has at least a 2.0 GPA, that self-identifies as Indigenous/Native American/First Nations (with no requirement to prove federal enrollment), and has submitted a 1-2 page essay that covers the student’s strong unmet financial need, their cultural identity/connection/background, their importance of getting an education, the on-campus extra-curricular activities they participate in including why they participate in those activities, and how their culture connects them to things such as communities, families, education, and preserving tradition. Strong preference for a student that is involved with at least one on-campus extracurricular activity and/or involvement in an office or center in the Department of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. The maximum amount per student from this fund is $1,000.This can only be awarded to one student.
